I have the singular honour to present Ajibodun Busola to you as the winner of the last edition of Awoof Yanfu-Yanfu. It has been a fascinating ride so far, and I am sure you had as much fun as I did. Beyond the excitement, I very much hope you also learnt a thing or two from the series.
Yoruba proverb for the finale: “Kí okùnrin to àtòrìn, kí obìnrin to àtòrìn, enìkan á lómi léhìn esè jura lo.”
Busola gives the literal meaning as this: “If a male/man urinates while walking and a female/woman urinates while walking, we’ll see who has more urine on the calf.” She goes further by giving us a proverbial meaning: “If there is a bet involving two parties, one will definitely always emerge the winner.”
Congratulations to her. She goes home with the prize. Special thanks to everyone who made the series a success. Hopefully, we would be having such interesting and educative exercises like this more often.
Have a great weekend!
